Yesterday I attended a friend’s party. He is leaving for Shanghai to start his own business. Sweet.

How much is the cost living in Shanghai? I mean comparing to the living standard in Singapore, 10k monthly salary is the minimum. Recently I have been checking out the Flash/Flex developer’s market in China career websites. In Shanghai, salary is ranging from 3k to 10k, for having experience of at least 1, 2 years. Senior position certainly will have a much higher pay, but definitely never higher than 15k/month. (Beijing market is generally “cheaper”, for as-developers)
